Parkside Vauxhall based on Newport Road , Barnstaple have been trading from the site since 1992. We are part of the County Garages Group which is a North Devon Family formed business established in 1927 by Jim Squire and Arthur Carder.
The Group represent a sizeable portion of the new car market in North Devon with brands and businesses represented including;
County Mazda, County Landrover, County Budget Cars (CBC), Prideaux Renault as well as Parkside Vauxhall, Parkside Kia and Parkside Suzuki.
We also have a big presence in the aftersales market with our Parts Factors business, Unipart Franchise , Group Bodyshop and Trade Parts operations including , Citroen , Rover ,MG, LDV as well as the above . We have 21 Vans on the road at any one time and we have a second distribution point in Bodmin covering a large portion of Cornwall down to Penzance.
The current Directors of the Business work from the two locations, centred around hollowtree and newport roads include Mr.Nick Williams a 3rd Generation Family Director and Andy Witherington the first non-family Director. It,s this hands on approach and close involvement that sets us apart from todays large group culture . We are big enough to get the best deals but not too big that it's a different person each time you come .
